Tura
The Mentor
A large, gentle green turtle who walks upright, wears round spectacles, and carries a wooden staff topped with a golden lotus bud. Tura is two hundred years old and gender-neutral — the children simply call them Tura. A soft pink lotus glows on their chest, and their domed shell has picked up mushrooms and vines over the centuries. Tura is the tallest of the four, and the slowest, on purpose.

The Explorer
Six years old, with dark wavy hair that refuses to lie flat and large brown eyes that miss very little. Neev wears a cream tee with a gold leaf emblem, khaki cargo shorts and brown hiking boots, and carries an orange backpack everywhere. He is the one who drives the journey — the question "why?" usually belongs to him.

The Connector
Six years old, with a dark side braid over her right shoulder and a yellow flower clip on the left. Ira wears a cream tee with a green leaf emblem, light-blue cuffed pants and green sneakers, with an amber satchel across her shoulder. She is the one who spots the thing nobody else saw — and asks everyone to stop and look.

The Spark
A round, fuzzy cloud spirit with two big white eyes, tiny stubby arms and fuzzy feet, usually surrounded by golden sparkles. Dhool is mischievous and never malicious: the muddle Dhool causes is what makes everyone stop and look properly at something. Rendered in soft, fuzzy 3D, deliberately different from the hand-drawn look of the others.
