Why We Started
Children today are handed more content than any generation before them, and less reason to go outside and look at anything. That is the gap Aavran was built to close.
Lecturing does not work. Posters do not work. But a good story, told well, sends a child looking for something — and that is a completely different kind of learning.
So Aavran Kidz is built the other way around: the screen opens a question, and then deliberately gets out of the way so the answer has to be found in the real world.
Aavran (आवरण)
Sanskrit for “to wrap” or “to envelop.” We wrap children in stories, songs and making — and then send them out to find the rest for themselves.
Our Mission
"To create the world’s most trusted experiential learning ecosystem for children aged 2–12, where every digital experience inspires meaningful real-world action."
What We Believe
Nature as Teacher
Nature is our first classroom, not our only subject. Our eight Learning Worlds also cover feelings, friendship, life skills, creativity and discovery.
Child as Protagonist
The child is never a passive viewer. They are always the scientist, the builder, the explorer who makes things happen.
Home as Classroom
The best learning happens when it spills into everyday life — the kitchen, the garden, the school bag, the walk home.
Learning as Loop
Screen → Doing → Reflecting → Screen. We design every theme to complete this loop, not short-circuit it.
The Team
A small founding team, building deliberately. We are hiring our first paid roles through Phase 0 rather than promising a large studio we do not yet have.
Tanima Mitra
Founder & CEO
Founder of Aavran Kidz and the authority on its creative canon. She holds the line on what matters most: a story never preaches, every Adventure ends with the screen off, and a child’s curiosity is worth protecting slowly.
Dr. Vijender Singh
Co-Founder — Legal, Impact & Partnerships
Leads intellectual property, child-data protection and parental consent. Schools and CSR partners are one route we hope to explore through future pilots.
And the four who do the storytelling
Tura, Neev, Ira and Dhool are permanently locked canon — they will not be redesigned or replaced.
Tura
The patient mentor
An ancient turtle who answers a question with a better one, and is never in a hurry.
Neev
The builder
Would rather build a bridge than read about one. Tries, fails, and tries again. His explorer notebook is where the Wonder Journal comes from.
Ira
The noticer
Sees what everyone else walks past, and asks everyone to stop and look. What she gathers goes into her satchel.
Dhool
The spark
A small cloud spirit, mischievous and never malicious. The muddle Dhool causes is what makes everyone stop and look properly at something.
Aavran Kidz is being established as Aavran Kidz Experiential Learning Private Limited, with incorporation in progress and a registered office planned in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Until incorporation completes we describe ourselves exactly as we are: a founding team, pre-launch.
